Hill giants are the most primitive and backwards of true giants. They tend to be shortest of the giant races, but most corpulent in proportion to their height. These selfish brutes frequently force weaker monsters to obey them and scrounge the countryside for anything that would sate their enormous appetites, but on the other hand their low intelligence and short temper makes them ideal for subjugation buy more powerful and intelligent villains, such as evil wizards. Sometimes entire tribes serve a particularly cunning chieftain of an orc horde or some nascent dark lord who gathers his army in the wild places of the world in order to conquer the civilized lands.
Biggest and most vicious among them becomes a kind of the pack leader even so they usually do not have chiefs in true sense of the word…
