These hybrids of sharks and humans are perhaps descendants of weresharks or some ancient civilization that has drowned beneath the waves. They are very tall and muscular, with both gills and lungs so that they can breathe both under the water and on surface, which enables them to attack ships far at sea and raid coastal settlements for food and sacrifices to their elder gods and demonic rulers, such as Dagon, or to appease various monsters under the waves, such as Krakens.
They are deadly hunters and their society is highly militaristic and cruel, with strength and ability to kill being the greatest virtues. Biggest and strongest among them are featured as leaders of packs.
