Their bodies have exposed muscles, bones and tendons. A kind of tangle made of clots of clotted blood took the place of their skins. Its empty, gaunt eye sockets reveal the brain. Its pointy teeth and sharp claws are covered with small debris; the small traces that remain of their victims.
These fearsome beasts are the servants of an ancient blood deity, who demanded human sacrifices and was strengthened with the blood of men offered as a holocaust. They completely drain their prey, storing the blood in their bodies and then serving it to their goddess.
Protected by ancient illusion spells, they can operate openly, bleeding and killing men in the most unsuspecting places.
