Native to the Elemental Plane of Water, marids are probably the most wondrous and powerful of all genies. Magnificent of stature, they tower over all other Geniekind. Their teeth are as pearls and skin of various shades of ocean water, changing its color to reflect their mood.
While on Plane of Water or in seas, oceans or oasis, marids are usually only scantly clad, but on dry ground they frequently wear revealing silks and clothing made of seaweed, corals or mother of pearl. They delight in showing their magnificent bodies.
Extremely independent and proud, they are very sure of themselves and have extremely high sense of self-worth, which makes them seem arrogant and overbearing.
Their opinion about themselves is so high that they consider even other genies to be beneath them so much that they are not even considered to be enemies, merely nuisances.
