Dwarven queens usually have less elaborate thrones than kings or chieftains, since their power is not based upon the force of arms – although they are not any less capable warriors than their husbands – but is based upon health and prosperity of the clan and therefore their thrones are frequently carved with runes that provide protection and peace to the clan.
