Forming the basis of the Wood Elf armies, spear-wielding infantry is the first and the last line of protection of ancient woodland empires ruled by the immortal high lords. Long-lived as the rest of the elves, those wood elves trained as spearman are usually more at home in the deepest woods or in the borderlands against most savage of orcs or most brutal of civilized human empires than in the courts of the high elves. Nevertheless, they serve valiantly and bravely and in the eyes of humans or other short-lived races, these deadly and swift hunters are the epitome of grace and beauty and cause for stupefied admiration, frequently just before their spears end the beholders’ lives.
