Fafnheir or Fafnir is the oldest of linnorms, massive “land worms”, the dragons of the North. He is one of the most powerful draconic creatures in existence, and his very presence corrupts and distorts living beings and the land itself near his lair. Everything there is tainted by his evil and many other linnorms live there as his spawn and guardians, as well as horde of undead draugrs, ghosts and wights created from the deaths of would-be slayers of Fafnheir.
Fortunately, Fafnheir’s sleep is long and deep. Entrance to his lair is filled with young linnorms and unhatched linnorm eggs, as well as treasures left there by the dead heroes who once came to slay the Father of all Linnorms.
